The steel is treated through a water-quenching and tempering process, achieving a surface hardness of 360–440 Brinell. It showcases remarkable wear resistance, impact toughness, and weldability. You can cold work the material by bending or roll bending, and hot work it within a temperature range of 850–1000°C, followed by hardening and tempering. Thermal cutting and welding are feasible with the right preheating for plates thicker than 30mm.
